Online Session: Migrant Forum on Family Reunification in Ireland

Recent changes to Ireland’s family reunification policies may directly affect your plans. In late 2025, the Department of Justice introduced significant changes to the family reunification rules for migrant workers in Ireland. These changes have made it more difficult for many workers to bring their families to Ireland, with stricter requirements around income thresholds, eligible family members, and application procedures. This Migrant Forum on Family Reunification will explain what these changes mean in practice and what documents prospective applicants should prepare to submit a strong application. We will also discuss how migrant workers and allies can work together to advocate for fairer family reunification policies.
