If you have ever tried to access immigration services online in Ireland, you may have noticed that Immigration Service Delivery (ISD) uses two different websites and that each one requires a separate login account. This can be confusing, so here is a simple guide to what each website is used for.
Immigration Customer Service Portal

This Customer Service Portal is used for:
- Making an in-person first-time registration appointment with Immigration at Burgh Quay.
- Checking the status of existing and pending applications.
- Submitting queries to various divisions within Immigration (e.g. Citizenship, Domestic Residence and Permission, EUTR, etc).
- Submitting most applications for immigration status to Domestic Residence and Permissions (e.g. Reactivation application, Parent of an Irish Citizen Child form, Spouse of an Irish National form, etc).
- Accessing the EU Treaty Rights Portal.
INIS Online Website (Irish Immigration Service Online):
Link: https://inisonline.jahs.ie/
INIS online website is used for:
- Renewing your Irish Residence Permit (IRP) card online.
- Applying for Irish Citizenship by Naturalisation.
- Certain applications to Domestic Residence and Permissions, i.e. Turkish Association Agreement, De Facto Partner Scheme and Extension of Student Conditions.
- Applying for the Atypical Working Scheme.
- Applying for Travel Documents.
- Applying for Labour Market Access (for international protection applicants).
Key Things to Remember
- Both websites require separate login accounts — make sure you have registered on both if you need to use services on each
