The Minister for Justice is issuing a Travel Confirmation Notice requesting carriers to allow individuals to travel on their recently expired IRP ( Irish Residence Permit) card where an application to renew their permission was submitted to ISD in advance of the expiry date of their IRP card.
This Travel Confirmation Notice is valid from 6th of December 2023 to 31st January 2024 ONLY. This allowance only applies to an application to renew their registration permission if submitted in advance of the expiry date of the IRP card.
Applications for renewals will continue to be processed as quickly as possible.
