Renewal of Stamp 4 from Undocumented Scheme

By 15 March 2024No Comments

A month before the expiry of this two-year permission, you need to renew.

  • If you live outside Dublin you need to contact your local immigration office to renew.
  • If you live in Dublin you can renew this permission online here. You can use the same account as you used for your scheme application.

If you did not break the conditions outlined in your original permission letter then your permission will be renewed for a further three years on stamp 4 permission. This is stated clearly in the Department’s scheme FAQ (page 22) which can be accessed here.

If you and a family member both need to renew, you must submit separate applications. Children under 16 do not need to register or renew.

Please Note: YOU MUST BE IN IRELAND TO APPLY.

Required Documents (Please have these ready to include with your application):

  • A copy of your permission letter from the Department of Justice that details the conditions under which you were granted stamp 4.
  • The biometric page of your current valid Passport(s). This is the page that shows your photograph, passport number and date of birth.
  • The front and back of your current IRP card.
  • Proof of your current address in Ireland.
  • For online renewal only: A copy of your signature. You can write on clean white paper and take a picture with your phone. Save as jpeg or pdf format.

The fee for renewal is €300 and you need to pay this as part of the application process.

Further information on renewing your permission is available here.
