If you are in Ireland on a visitor permission and need more time to stay, you can now apply online for an Extension of Visitor Permission through the Customer Service Portal.
Request an Extension of Visitor Permission
There are two ways in which you can extend your visa, depending on your situation:
-
- If you were granted less than 90 days at entry
-
-
- You can attend your local immigration office and request an extension (up to a maximum of 90 days).
- Bring your original passport and details of your departure flight.
-
2. If you need to stay longer than 90 days (unexpected circumstances)
-
-
- You can apply directly to Immigration Service Delivery (ISD).
- Your visitor permission must still be valid when you apply.
- Submit your application online with the required documents.
-
Submitting Your Application
