Applying as a Parent of an Irish Citizen Child – Now Online
You can now submit your parent of Irish citizen child application online through the official Customer Service Portal: https://portal.irishimmigration.ie/en/
Who needs to apply?
You must submit this application if any of the following apply to you:
- You entered Ireland on a Short Stay ‘C’ Visa, or
- You do not currently hold valid immigration permission, or
- Your permission has expired and you were refused a renewal, or
- You have been refused registration by your local immigration office as the parent of an Irish citizen child.
What you need to do?
- Complete the application form
- Download and fill in the Parent of Irish Citizen Child Application Form.
- Be sure to complete it fully and save it.
- Submit through the online portal
- Log in or register at the Customer Service Portal.
- Select “Submit Query” and choose:
Domestic Residence and Permissions > Topic Subquery > Parent of Irish Citizen Child.
- Upload your documents
- Attach your completed and signed application form (PDF format) in the portal.
- Upload any required supporting documents.
- ISD may contact you by email to request additional documents.
