Intra – company Transfer Scheme
The Intra-company transfer scheme permits senior management, key personnel and those undergoing a training programme to transfer from an overseas branch of a multi-national company to its Irish branch. To be eligible for such a permit the following rules apply:
- You must be earning a minimum annual salary of €40,000 euro
- You must have worked with the overseas company for at least 12 months prior to transfer
- The fee for this permit is €1,000 and it can be granted for up to 24 months. In certain circumstances it can be extended for a period up to 5 years.
- At the end of the employment or when the permit expires, the employee must return to their country of origin
- If you are the spouse or dependent of a Intra-company transfer permit holder you are entitled to seek work under the Spousal / Dependent Work Permit Scheme.
