Migrant Rights Centre Ireland: Volunteer Receptionist
The Migrant Rights Centre Ireland (MRCI) is a national organisation working to promote justice, empowerment and equality for migrant workers and their families. MRCI runs a Resource Centre to provide information and advocacy support to migrant workers.
MRCI is currently looking for a volunteer Receptionist who will be based in the Resource Centre. The role of the Receptionist will be to respond to callers, to manage phone calls, greet visitors to the centre and to support internal and external communications of the organisation.
Receptionist person specification:
- Ability to manage a busy telephone switchboard
- General administration skills and strong organisational skills
- Ability to multi-task and to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills
- Flexibility
- Supporting internal and external referrals
- Desirable but not essential to have knowledge of issues facing migrant workers.
Relevant induction and ongoing training will be provided to the successful person who will gain valuable knowledge and experience in the area of administration and reception.
Hours of work: 25 hours a week (10-4pm, 5 days per week)
Duration: Six months
Reports to: Office Manager
Remuneration: Travel and lunch expenses
The position will be based in the MRCI office in Dublin.
